Prasad scores a brace in Goodwood FC's 7-0 opening Champions League Match

Goodwood FC opened the 2017 Champions League with great magnitude, by overcoming PURA FC 7-0. Prasad Raj opened the scoring with a free kick from just outside the penalty area after Dino was brought down. 7 minutes later it was Scott's turn convert the second free kick from a similar distance after Surya was fouled.

Prasad made it 3-0 from the penalty spot after Dino was tripped after bursting into the penalty area. Just before the break, Kiran made it 4-0. A well worked move on the left from Shan Raj, Prasad Raj and Surya Prakash resulted in the goal.

After the break Team Captain, Halim Abidin was on a solo run beating 3 defenders, and was finally brought down just outside the 18th yard box. The skipper converted the freekick with ease.

Surya Prakash made it 6-0, after receiving the ball from Shan Raj on the left of the pitch. Surya managed to beat 2 defenders before netting the ball. Nigel Schubert wrapped things up in the 89 min after picking up a through ball from Surya and slotted the ball in the near post.
